Volkl 90Eight W snow skis
Volkl 90Eight W, in my opinion arguably the best all round ski you can get for use in Australia and for that overseas trip.
Excellent value for money and although quite a high performance ski they are so easy to use.
Best Use: All Mountain Wide skis are one-quiver for on/off-trail.
Width: Medium – ideal for all-mountain, off-trail versatility.
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis for versatile all-mountain
The Volkl 90Eight W is an awesomely versatile women’s ski.
Volkl intended to build a ski that could just about do everything at a weight that could justify using it as a touring ski.
The 90EightW has a rocker/camber/rocker profile, subtle early taper.
Moderate turn radius of 17.9 m at the 170 cm length.
With its 98 mm waist width and the performance characteristics that come along with its construction.
On paper the 90EightW should be able to do just about everything,.
The 90EightW from Volkl makes a perfect ski for the strong intermediate to expert level skier who never knows where a day on the mountain will take them.
You can be blazing the groomers, dive into some trees or hike up all on one ski in a single day.
The 90Eight gets Volkl’s new 3D Glass.
3D Glass has vertically laminated glass behind the sidewalls and horizontally wrapped glass above the sidewalls.
This adds more torsional power, edge hold and increased rebound.
3D Ridge Technology has a thin construction above the sidewalls with a raised ridge in the centre of the ski.
This lowers the amount of inertia it takes to manoeuvre the ski into a turn.
Carbon Stringers combined with Volkl’s Multi-Layer WoodCore is stable enough for you to charge at full speed through dicey snow
Lightweight enough for you to throw them over your shoulder to hike up and earn some deep turns.
